Some patients may have large breasts which can lead to heat rashes and irritation under the breast. The larger size bras required for the heavy breasts can leave deep indented bra strap marks on the shoulder as well as effect patients’ self-confidence. Evidence has shown breast reductions are the most satisfying procedures for patients.
Breast reduction surgery involves removing breast tissue, reshaping the breast and raising the nipples. This can significantly improve patients symptoms.
WHERE: The surgery will take place at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital where there is 'round the clock' senior care on site and essential facilities on site to cover all eventualities. Most patients will only need 1 night stay or as a day case. Patients can also have surgery in London in the Harley Street District hospitals depending on convenience.
