Frequently asked questions
How much time off do I need with a full facelift ?
Ideally 2-3 weeks but it depends on the extent of surgery. If the surgery involves the face only 2 weeks may be suitable. If the neck is involved will need 3 weeks
What is the best age for a full facelift?
There is no ideal age but preferably for a full facelift the best results are when patients are in their 50's. Although it is possible to have a facelift earlier you need to be aware that when a re do is needed in the future it makes the procedure more complex
What is a mini facelift?
A mini facelift is a more targeted procedure that focuses on lifting and tightening specific areas of the face, such as the jawline and lower cheeks. Unlike a full facelift, a mini facelift can often be performed under local anaesthetic while you are awake, making it a suitable option for patients who may not be able to undergo a general anaesthetic or who prefer a quicker recovery.
Many patients also choose a mini facelift because they do not have the downtime required for a full facelift. However, the main limitation is that the results typically do not last as long as those of a full facelift.
